Abstract

The study of the indigenous nobility colonial is located in current social studies materials of the Real hearing of Quito, 16th and 17TH centuries. It consists of two parts. (a) Structure of the indigenous nobility whose heirs are rapidly assimilated to Spanish colonialism, as the native populations (quitus and Inca and Amazon) provided service of peonage by debts, between grievances and encroachments. This is the context. (b) Historical micro-ethnografy of major travelers to Spain that had high status and were recognized by colonialism. Study accepts the theory of Elman R. Service to recognize as a main element of Indoamerica, without discarding the degrading condition of subject indigenous peoples. The ingredient is the appearance of an early modernity that affected the chiefdom about the chances of extradited temporarily to learn about other worlds. Here, the imagination plays a decisive role following the theory of the “ethnic landscape” in Arjun Appadurai, dislocation of modernity and cultural use of the imagination.
