Abstract

This research presents the history of a heraldic stone that has presided over the entrance of one of the traditional Quito houses for four centuries, responding to several questions about its origin and belonging that until now had not been elucidated. In this study they will also expose several passages of Quito’s social and urban history. The text is articulated through the following subtitles: The coat of arms of house Oe3-17 on Chile street in Quito, Maldonado’s coat of arms? Zaldumbide’s coat of arms? Rebelo’s coat of arms? This work also presents an introduction and conclusion.
