Abstract

Rodrigo Lasso Donoso is passionate about history, not only as a voracious reader of these topics but also as a researcher, which was irrefutably demonstrated in his book Los centauros de América. With only this book, Lasso Donoso already had credentials to join our centennial entity; However, it should be noted that he is also the author of these other works: La leche del Ecuador, is a reference text on the history of dairy farming and its cultural influence in our country; History of the Environment, Agriculture and Pre-Columbian Culture of Ecuador, in which it studies and describes how the natural environment, the first farmers, the ways they used to domesticate, collect and manage the enormous biodiversity of the flora and the impact of agriculture on the formation cultural.

Director de la Academia Nacional de Historia. Tiene Postgrado del Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales del Ecuador, Universidad Complutense (Madrid) y CLAD (México D.F.). Doctor en Ciencias Sociales, Políticas e Internacionales. Doctor Honoris Causa (Literatura) por la Universidad Internacional del Ecuador. Presidente de Honor de la Sociedad Bolivariana del Ecuador. Miembro de la Sociedad de Escritores Latinoamericanos y Europeos (SELAE), con sede en Milán. Autor de más de 120 obras publicadas.
