Abstract

Dr. Cordero Iñiguez is one of those representative characters, such as those who, already in the mid-nineteenth century, Ralph Waldo Emerson cataloged to give shape to his famous book: for this reason, he deserves just price and gratitude not only from Cuenca, where he was born to honor her but the whole country. Here is a tight synthesis of this remarkable Cuenca that, with his life and work, fully justifies what I have just asserted.

Doctor en Ciencias Sociales, Políticas e Internacionales. Doctor Honoris Causa (Literatura) por la Universidad Internacional del Ecuador. Presidente de Honor de la Sociedad Bolivariana del Ecuador. Miembro de la Sociedad de Escritores Latinoamericanos y Europeos (SELAE), con sede en Milán. Autor de más de 120 obras publicadas.
