Indigenous peoples in conjunction with our languages, cultures, sciences, technologies and spiritualities have been in this Andean land for thousands and thousands of years; that is, from before the systems of invasion, colonization and republics of the current democratic states happened. That is why, when dealing with the Kichwa language, it is not only a cultural discourse, but it is a much deeper holistic-cognitive analysis, about the resistance that it has had to live during the extermination process in all the Abya-Yala (Latin America).
This analysis is generated on the one hand from coexistence with the aforementioned reality, while, on the other hand, from the constitutional framework. The society should understand the vulnerability in which the original identities are found, consequently the rune, kuri, mishki shimi, which is currently considered as intangible heritage of the country; In this sense, it is important to be aware of the interest in learning, conserving, and disseminating one or more ancestral languages, not only for indigenous peoples but also for the country and the world in the face of the social crisis we are experiencing.
